Few can say it was their love of animals that led to a successful career in real estate. An avid equestrian and veterinary field veteran, Amanda Thompson is among those few. Since the age of eight, Amanda competed all over California, later studying biology and working in the equine veterinary field for a number of years. In 2012, she transitioned to a full-time career in real estate with a niche expertise few in the industry possess. Amanda specializes in equestrian properties throughout the East Bay, Northern and Southern California, while also working with clients across the entire residential spectrum, from first-time homebuyers to luxury property aficionados.
Amanda brings her infectious energy, devotion to her clients and keen eye for interior design to The Agency Danville team. She loves nothing more than getting to know her clients and making the sales process smooth and enjoyable while building meaningful relationships that last well beyond the transaction process. A strategic thinker with a passion for negotiating, Amanda strives to secure the best price and contract terms possible for her clients. She also enjoys utilizing her creativity to develop innovative marketing strategies, implementing video or compelling graphic design to set her properties apart from the crowd.
Growing up in San Diego, Amanda’s love of real estate began in her childhood, as she joined her mother, an Interior Designer, touring model homes and creating beautiful spaces. She earned a BS in Biology with an emphasis in Zoology at Northern Arizona University, where her favorite project was tracking and radio tagging bats in Sedona. When she’s not touring real estate and equestrian properties with her clients, Amanda volunteers with Remedy Retrievers, which trains labradors for children with autism. She continues to ride and compete with her horse and enjoys spending time hiking with her husband and their two squishy labradors.
