London-born and raised, Gideon Lang-Laddie brings over 20 years of finance and Wall Street experience to The Agency.
Gideon’s numerous years on the trading floor carried over seamlessly to his career as an agent. With a passion for broking a universal commodity - the most sought-after real estate - Gideon’s expert negotiating skills and penchant for cultivating long-lasting relationships with clients and colleagues render him perfectly suited for The Agency.
Prior to his career in real estate, Gideon relocated to New York from London in 2000 to work on Wall Street with BNP Paribas, where he sales-traded pan-European equities to US and Canadian institutions, having previously covered asset managers predominantly in Switzerland and England. Over the years, he has worked for several firms in London, New York, and Los Angeles, including HSBC and Man Financial/MF Global, developing and running global algorithmic equity trading desks and eventually, heading the equity desk as a whole at iCap.
Gideon moved to Beverly Hills in 2015, at which time he headed investor relations for a global private equity firm. Upon the realization that his firm was missing out on key real estate ventures and deals they weren’t set up to handle, he set out to secure his real estate license and extend his skillset accordingly. Enthusiastically embracing his high-net-worth, local and international connections to ensure that no business opportunity slips between the cracks, Gideon coalesces his unique finance background and passion for real estate to serve clients across Los Angeles, and around the world, catering not only to the southern California residential market, but also to those looking to transact in some of the very finest real estate in the UK and Europe, from spectacular historic estates to the greatest of contemporary and architectural properties.
A graduate of the Royal Agricultural University, Cirencester, Gideon is a passionate amateur polo player who trains annually in Argentina, he is a classic car collector, as well as a keen fencer, fly fisherman, and wine enthusiast. In 2009, he founded his own charity organization (Prostate1000), which raises funds for and awareness of prostate cancer research.
