About Ken Whelan

Representing buyers and sellers from the South Bay to Santa Monica and Newport Beach, Ken Whelan is known for his integrity, compassion, strong negotiating skills and extensive local knowledge. Ken provides his clients with intelligent, strategic advice and guides them through the transaction process to achieve their unique real estate goals.

Prior to becoming a real estate agent and joining The Agency’s South Bay team, Ken worked in the sports and entertainment industry for organizations including the Los Angeles Lakers, IMG and TEN: The Enthusiast Network. During his time with the Lakers, Ken was part of three NBA Championships and two WNBA Championships. Throughout his career, Ken has worked with some of the world’s top professional athletes and executives including NBA, MLB and Olympic & Action Sports.

Real estate runs in Ken's family, his grandmother was a real estate broker and his grandfather was a home developer. Ken's brother is an executive in the entertainment industry with show credits in the home space including HGTV's Bargain Mansions and House Hunters.

Giving back to the community is near and dear to Ken’s heart. He supports several causes including Alzheimer’s Los Angeles, Canine Companions, Life Rolls On Foundation, NextStep Fitness and the Mary S. Roberts Pet Adoption Center. Ken’s dog was certified by TDI (Therapy Dogs International) and together they did volunteer work at assisted living homes and injury rehab centers in Southern California.

Ken lives by the motto, “Be Unstoppable,” and when he’s not assisting his clients, he and his wife live an active lifestyle and enjoy working out, beach volleyball, swimming and attending sports events and concerts.
