About Michell Danel

Born in Mexico City and raised in Michigan, Michell’s multifaceted upbringing and fluency in Spanish empowers her keen ability to serve clients at The Agency in Aspen and Punta Mita, where she spends several months per year. Compassionate, driven and well-traveled, Michell’s natural talent for forging meaningful connections paired with her previous work in the luxury retail sector, non-profit space and travel industry makes her a knowledgeable and versatile resource for her clients.

Well organized and an adept problem-solver, Michell calmly guides clients through each step of a transaction—whether they are purchasing their first home, selling an estate or searching for their ideal vacation home in the Rocky Mountains or on the beaches of Punta Mita.

Prior to starting her career in real estate, Michell spent her formative years studying fine arts and photography. She then trotted the globe as a flight attendant before landing in Detroit, where she worked at the non-profit Music Hall Center for the Performing Arts and later owned and ran a popular vegetarian restaurant. More recently, Michell led sales at beloved Aspen luxury retailer Kemo Sabe, a role that further solidified her sterling reputation amongst a diverse range of global clientele.

“I am passionate about life, making authentic human connections and ultimately providing an amazing, unforgettable experience for my clients,” says Michell. “My goal is always to partner with my clients to achieve their real estate goals—while bringing them some joy along the way.”

Among Michell’s philanthropic interests are animal welfare charities and organizations that support mental health. A lifelong equestrian, Michell spends much of her spare time on horseback. When not at her favorite barn or trail blazing through the Aspen backcountry, she can be found skiing one of the Aspen Valleys four iconic mountains, fly fishing Colorado’s gold medal rivers or paddle boarding the pristine coastline of Punta Mita.
