Michelle Murphy’s career in real estate grew organically from her work designing and flipping homes for more than two decades. She brings a local’s expertise, designer’s eye and nuanced knowledge of the residential market in Malibu and the surrounding neighborhoods to The Agency team. Real estate allows her to combine her love of designing and building homes with her passion for working with people, helping them find their ideal home or investment property. Her clients value and rely on her opinion and expertise during the purchase process as well as the design and build process, a specialty that sets her apart in the industry.

Raised in Colorado, Michelle has called California home for over 25 years. She worked in semiconductor sales in Silicon Valley, before beginning the process of renovating and selling her family’s homes. Over the years, she was continuously approached by friends and family seeking advice on both design and real estate. Naturally, she transitioned to the industry full time, building a strong network of repeat and referral business and an insider’s knowledge of the region’s off-market inventory. She is able to navigate calmly through the negotiation process, finding solutions to any issues that may arise while employing her sales savvy, aesthetic eye and positive nature every step of the way. A mother of four, the Malibu local has had two children in the Malibu school system and loves sharing the unique lifestyle and beauty of the region with her clients. When not out touring homes, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading and enjoying Malibu’s scenic beaches.
