Part of The Agency Brantford, Rachel Plagos aids buyers and sellers throughout Cambridge, Paris, Brantford, Flamborough, Hamilton and the surrounding areas. Known for her exceptional listening skills, attention to detail, unmatched organization, unflappable nature and deep compassion for her clients, Rachel’s background in occupational therapy has also informed her keen eye for accessible design features (or potential renovations).
“As an agent, I love having the opportunity to support people through major transitions and moments in their lives,” says Rachel. “Every move—whether it is a home purchase, a sale or an investment—represents a big life moment. I'm deeply lucky to be able to help my clients with their goals, whatever they may be!”
Raised in Tottenham, Ontario, Rachel achieved a degree in Life Sciences at McMaster University, and then a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy at the University of Toronto. She went on to work as an occupational therapist for several years, a role that further crystallized her desire to provide impactful aid to those with varying physical needs and abilities. As an occupational therapist, Rachel worked in many settings, including spinal cord injury rehabilitation and acute care at Cambridge Memorial Hospital.
“My work in occupational therapy has many connections to my role as a real estate agent,” says Rachel. “I know how to be a versatile problem-solver and have cultivated a unique eye for spaces, modifications, universal design and accessible features or potential of a home for those with varying needs.”
In her spare time, Rachel enjoys being with her husband, son and extended family. She also is an avid softball player, golfer and rock climber and is often out playing with her two dogs, German Shorthaired Pointers named Stella and Sage. Rachel also conducts courses in Occupational Therapy for new students and continuing education classes for trained therapists.
