In the depths of Covid, Rebecca settled back in Aspen via Kauai, Montana, Oregon, California, and many world travels, with her two children. She loves working for The Agency in Aspen, with its forward thinking, personal, and mindful approach to real estate.
She was born in and spent her youth in the Roaring Fork Valley, interspersed with chasing her dad on a small sailboat circumnavigating the world. After receiving a degree in English Literature from Whitman College, she studied math and real estate finance through graduate programs at both Denver University and the MIT Center for Real Estate.
Gravitating towards a love of open spaces, farms, ranches and communities that support the environment and a healthy, supportive lifestyle, she began working with land to sustain and improve its natural abundance. She has owned and managed her own real estate investment and development company since 1997, stewarding, building and improving raw land, commercial buildings, condos, single family homes, apartment buildings, and spec homes, in the western United States, Hawaii, Canada and the Bahamas. In the process she has worked with family members and friends to help them secure first homes, investments, and transition with their real estate needs. Her favorite transaction is the 1031 exchange, a mechanism by which capital gains tax can be deferred in like kind property exchanges. She finally decided to become a broker, as real estate is in her blood.
She is a world traveler, newly published author, hiker, biker and skier of mountains, and most importantly, a loving mother. Please join her on an adventure to aid in transitioning your next best real estate endeavor!
