About Samuel Aflalo

A diligent and devoted advocate for his clients, L.A. native Samuel Aflalo brings 16 years of real estate experience to The Agency, most recently as COO and Co-Founder of Blackwood Developments, overseeing company operations and construction management for the firm.

Specializing in commercial and multifamily investment real estate, Samuel began his career as a licensed real estate agent and top producer for Coldwell Banker Commercial Los Angeles, where he was the recipient of the prestigious International President’s Premier award, in addition to being named the #1 commercial agent for California and #5 agent Nationwide.

Over the course of his career, Samuel gained extensive experience with apartment and single family projects in the Los Angeles, Phoenix, and Dallas markets, completing numerous repositioning, infill, and development projects in each market. Prior to Co-Founding Blackwood Developments and acquiring over 100 million in assets, Samuel served as the Senior Vice President of Acquisitions for American Homes 4 Rent “AMH” (NYSE) and was responsible for acquiring over 20,000 homes. Among his responsibilities were identifying and underwriting new markets nationwide, establishing key relationships with local real estate professionals, and executing the AH4R’s acquisition strategy. He also Co-Founded Imperial Residential Holdings LLC, a full-service investment firm with offices in Los Angeles, Phoenix, Tucson and Atlanta, specializing in acquiring and repositioning distressed commercial and residential assets and purchased over 500 homes at auction. A natural problem solver and creative thinker, Samuel leverages his extensive background in construction and development to identify strategic opportunities for his clients.

When he’s not serving his clients in real estate, Samuel enjoys spending time on his ranch in Texas, horseback riding, tending to the cattle, fishing and cooking with his family. A passionate outdoorsman, he supports several charities focusing on animals and nature preservation.
