A well-respected educator and gifted designer, Shane Weaver brings a unique set of talents, invigorating enthusiasm and an artistic eye to his role at The Agency Toronto West, where he serves buyers and sellers throughout the region—particularly downtown Toronto.
Having lived in Downtown Toronto for 18 years, Shane understands the wants and needs of clients seeking an active city life and can provide in-depth, firsthand guidance to the area’s neighbourhoods, amenities and attractions. Never one to shy away from a new challenge, Shane approaches every new client and transaction with focus, diligence, hustle and a commitment to success.
Before entering real estate, Shane achieved a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in ceramics from OCAD, and has worked as a full-time designer, ceramic artist and teacher in the years since. A talented artist in his own right, Shane has exhibited work throughout Canada and the U.S.
In 2016, Shane and his partner Warren opened up their own studio called Dex(terity) Lab, where they rent out studio space to 40 artists, employ several instructors who teach classes and manufacture tabletop, lighting and decorative objects for a number of designers.
“Working in the arts has given me a keen eye for distinctive space, interiors and emerging trends,” says Shane. “Plus, my experience as a teacher has given me ample experience guiding students and anticipating peoples’ needs—even when they don’t know how to articulate them.”
A gifted visual artist, real estate is a seamless segue from Shane’s interior design experience and plays to his strengths as a clear communicator and supportive, knowledgeable guide. “I have had a career in the arts designing and producing objects for the home, and now I’m ready to sell the home! “ says Shane.
When he isn’t serving clients, Shane enjoys pursuing all things related to fashion, design and art and crafts. He and his partner Warren are also avid travelers, with Mexico being a favorite destination (Shane is also currently learning Spanish). A devoted community supporter, Shane has also run a number of charitable events through his ceramic studio benefitting local organizations.
