Thanks to a generous donation from The Mazzo Group, Roxana and Christian now have a safe place to call home in El Salvador. This is the 23rd home made possible by The Mazzo Group.
Roxana (24 years old) is a single mother to her son Christian (8 years old) and has lived in the community for four years. Roxana and Christian live on the same land as her father and her sister, and Roxana also supports them with help paying for food and utilities. Roxana works in a food packing plant earning about $260/month. In her free time, Roxana likes to spend time with her son, playing with neighbors, and watching videos together. Roxana’s dream is to be able to improve the land her family lives on and for her community to improve overall.
Christian is in first grade, he loves spicy food, playing soccer, and doing homework with his mom when she’s home from work.
The current structure they’re living in was built by Roxana. It’s made of wood, dirt floors, and sheet metal. Roxana hopes that with a new home, the quality of life for her and Christian will improve, and they will suffer from less leaks and water damage when it rains.
