One of the fondest memories Maria has as a child is going on vacations with her parents and discussing the types of architecture they saw in the different cities that they visited. Real estate has always been a prominent topic in her family. Both her maternal and paternal grandfathers built successful careers and legacies through real estate. It’s an honor for Maria to continue the family tradition by working as a real estate agent, broker associate, and advisor. Today is an exciting time to be a real estate agent, buyer, seller, renter, or investor. Before working in real estate professionally, Maria invested in and renovated her own properties in Texas, Maryland, and New Jersey. A native of Lubbock, Texas, she moved to the Washington DC area after college, where she worked in marketing at USA Today Newspaper and then as an investigative journalist focusing on consumer issues at Dateline NBC. Maria currently lives in Montclair, New Jersey with her husband and enjoys organizing meetups, and bringing the community together on a variety of topics including media and advocacy.


She is licensed in NJ as a Broker-Salesperson. Also, Maria is certified by the National Association of Realtors as Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource, e-PRO, and Military Relocation Professional.
