Real Estate Leaders Build A Home for Yolanda & Her Family

January 26th,  2017

Yolanda and her family moved into their new home! They will now have the foundation to focus on health, income, and education.

Their home in Nuevo Cuscátlan, El Salvador is built to last with rebar-enforced walls. Each home also includes electricity, running water, and indoor toilet and shower. 100% of your donation hired local workers from Nuevo Cuscátlan and purchased locals materials - a win-win for the local community.

A few months ago we introduced you to Arcadio, a single father with two children currently living in a shack slum. Unfortunately, Arcadio has traveled to another part of the country in an attempt to find work and we are unsure of when he will return. Though rare, when we are dealing with real people and complex lives, our projects can veer from the original plan.

If Arcadio returns to the Nuevo Cuzcatlan community, he and his children are on a priority list for a home. We are contacting you because your donation has already been put to work and the home is built. There are countless families who, like Arcadio, are in severe need and we would like to introduce you to Yolanda - a blind mother of two who is living in a shack on a mud hill where she often falls and injures herself. The life trajectory of her and her sons would be impacted tremendously with a safe, new home.

We have the opportunity to move Yolanda out of her shack and into a safe home.
