Keller Williams Realty on the Water Sarasota Sponsors Second Team Build Day

When Keller Williams Realty on the Water Sarasota joined Giveback Homes last year, they set out with a goal to raise $5,000 in 2018. The agents donated portions of their commissions on behalf of their clients to an affordable housing project with Giveback Homes and Sarasota Habitat for Humanity. Since reaching their goal, KWOTW Sarasota agents have volunteered their time on three different homes, helping with various stages of construction.
On October 26th, 2018, agents and staff from KWOTW Sarasota came together to help build an affordable home for a deserving family in their community. The team volunteered their time on an 1,800 sq. ft. new construction single-family home with three bedrooms, two baths and an attached garage. From cutting and measuring beams, to installing siding, their hard work and support helped speed up the tasks at hand for the day.
"It was nice to have helped out with the building process," said Giveback Homes Advocate Maria Rocha, “We all had a great time."
Earlier this year, Keller Williams Realty on the Water Sarasota helped paint two newly built Habitat for Humanity homes, for future homeowners. One of those future homeowners is Suzanne.
Suzanne is a Benefit Verification Specialist for multiple hospitals. She is a single mother raising five children in a three-bedroom apartment. Space is a big concern as well as the health of her children. She has ongoing medical expenses, two of her daughters struggle with genetic connective tissue disorders and another has asthma which is triggered by mold in the apartment. Suzanne is relieved to have a safe and healthy home, as well as a community, for her children to grow up in.
We are so proud of the work Keller Williams Realty on the Water Sarasota is doing to better the lives of the people in their community.
