Giveback Homes Members Provide a Home for Livinton & his family in Nicaragua
UPDATE:
May 7th 2017
It was pouring rain when we stopped to visit Livinton and Merari García, and they couldn't be more thankful to have a roof over their heads. They've added an extra room to their home, giving them space for a kitchen and living room to showcase Livinton's soccer trophy. Their son Kendrick is 5 years old now and loves to play soccer. He dreams of one day earning his own soccer trophy.
Livinton continues to work in construction while driving trucks at night.

Thank you to donors Paul Cruz, Rogers Healy, Nicole Pagan, Andrew McGuire,Julie-Ann Forney, Brittny Burford, Susan Jensen, Colleen Cole, Cheryl Bower,Barry Host and Fred Zuelich for making this build possible. Habitat for Humanity Nicaragua and Giveback Homes worked hard on this new home!
Livinton Aburto and his wife, Merari García are both 23 years old and have a 2-year-old son. The family lived with Livinton’s parents, grandmother and his sister and brother-in-law. Livinton provides the only income for the household, bringing in approximately $160 per month through his work as a driver of heavy machinery. Their previous home was made of old wood was unsafe, unstable, and obviously overcrowded.
Thanks to Giveback Homes member contributions and the home owners who chose to work with them, Livinton and his family now have a safe and healthy place to live. Join us in making a difference and help change lives through homes! Become a member and start giving today.
