Lending a Hand in OC - The Agency Gets to Work for Giveback Homes

The Agency joined forces with Giveback Homes in Orange County, California to help construct an all-new residence for a family of three. 

Agents and local SoCal staff picked up hammers and nails and manned drills and wheelbarrows to help construct an all-new home for a single mother and two young girls. Having struggled with high rent prices for several years, the family will move into a new single-level, three-bedroom, two-bath home, which will provide the safety and stability of homeownership.

The Agency is a proud supporter of Giveback Homes, an organization comprised of real estate professionals who help fund and build homes for families and individuals around the globe, from Los Angeles, Phoenix, Chicago and Houston to villages in Nicaragua. Since its founding in 2013, the organization has mobilized teams of volunteer homebuilders and spearheaded fundraising events to support the construction of permanent housing for those in need. 

The Agency team has helped construct homes with Giveback Homes around the country, from Park City, Utah to Culver City, California. It also hosts numerous events to raise funds for the organization, such as a recent soiree at SHOREBar, at which The Agency Founder and CEO Mauricio Umansky and agents Sandro Dazzan and Santiago Arana tended bar.  

The residence is one of 12 being constructed at a special build site in Fullerton in partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Orange County. The site will eventually include a total of 330 affordable residences in the master-planned community of 1,300 energy-efficient homes and townhomes. Since 1988, Habitat for Humanity of Orange County has built 219 homes, serving more than 3,700 people in need.
