Luz's home is now complete! Unfortunately she was not home when we stopped by, as school is back in session and she was busy teaching. But we are thrilled for Luz and her new home, thanks to The Mazzo Group.

Thanks to a generous donation from The Mazzo Group, a single, hard working mother in Nicaragua will soon have a safe place to call home.
Meet Luz Marina Hernandez
Location: San Rafael Del Sur, Nicaragua
Luz is 34 years old and works as a primary school teacher. She is a single mother to her daughter Brisa, who is 7 years old. Every morning, Luz wakes up at 4:00 A.M.to get ready with Brisa and together they walk about 9 miles to get to school and work, crossing through rivers that are often more challenging during the rainy season. Luz also takes care of her mother, who suffers with diabetes, her younger sister and daughter. Luz’s father passed away several years ago, and she hopes to be able to fulfill his dream of providing a safe home for their family where they can create happy memories together.
We are grateful to The Mazzo Group for their dedication to giving back and helping those in need through their business. We can’t wait for Luz and her family to have a safe place to call home.
