Jessica Northrop Sponsors 5th Team Build Day with Giveback Homes in Denver

Jessica Northrop with Compass Denver is a Giveback Homes Member in Greenwood Village, Colorado. She first traveled with the Giveback Homes team to Nicaragua in 2016 to build a home for Carla and her family. Shortly after returning to the states, Jessica was inspired to help build a home for a family in Colorado. In June of 2017, she brought her team out to help build a home for a local family in need in partnership with Denver Habitat for Humanity. The following year, Jessica and her team came out for their second Build Day in Sheridan Square in May 2018. In 2019, Jessica rallied her brokerage to help build homes in the Elyria Swansea neighborhood, marking her third Build Day with Giveback Homes. In October 2020, Jessica and her team helped build a home for Donovan and his daughter. This August, they continue the tradition with their 5th Team Build Day, helping repair a fence for an elderly low-income homeowner in Denver.

August 25th, 2021

On Wednesday, August 25th, Jessica Northrop and her team at The Northrop Group came together to help a low-income homeowner in Denver repair her fence. Ida is a 72-year-old woman who has lived in her home for 35 years. Ida owns her house outright and no longer has a mortgage. She lives alone, so she is partnering with Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver to help make some repairs to her home. Volunteers from The Northrop Group helped build a new fence and replace the exterior crawl space access door for Ida’s home. We are grateful to Jessica and her team for their generous donation to make this project possible!

About Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver Repair Projects

In addition to building new homes, Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver partners with existing homeowners on essential home repair projects so they can continue living in safe, decent and affordable homes for many years to come.

Habitat Metro Denver is currently offering two different home repair programs. One program focuses on exterior home repairs in 15 metro Denver neighborhoods, including Westwood, Globeville and Elyria Swansea. These home repair projects often include a new roof, new siding and paint, porch repairs and energy efficiency projects such as new doors and windows.

We are grateful to Jessica Northrop and her team of volunteers for donating and volunteering their time to support low-income homeowners in Denver through their real estate business. Thank you for helping change lives #forsocialgood!
