The Motley Fool, a real estate investing and advice platform, has partnered with Giveback Homes to donate and build a home for a family in need. In June 2021, Giveback Homes Cofounder Caroline Pinal joined Deidre Woollard of MillionAcres at their Real Wealth Summit to discuss making an impact through real estate and announce the donation from MillionAcres. This December, construction will be completed to build a home for a family in El Salvador.

Meet the family they are helping:

Maybelline Ivett Barrera and Ever Ezequiel Amaya are high school sweethearts who now share a two-year-old son together named Mateo. Maybelline is 22 years old and currently stays at home to take care of their son. Her favorite hobbies include sowing plants and taking care of the trees around their property. Ever is 23 years old and currently works at a chicken farm where he takes care of the eggs and makes sure everything runs smoothly. He earns $260 a month at the chicken farm, but it is not enough to cover the food, gas and clothes that their little family requires.

Their current home is only one room, and is made of wood, sheets and plastic folders which cause a lot of damage and is not safe for a child. When it rains, their house floods. Both Maybelline and Ever have dreams to own a safe home for their family one day. Maybelline believes that a new home will give them a fresh start and provide a safe place for Mateo to grow up.

Thanks to The Motley Fool, Maybelline and Ever’s dreams are one step closer to reality. Stay tuned for updates!
