Sean Dinneen of South Bay brokers shares his story in the latest Giveback Homes member spotlight, including what his was doing before he entered the world of residential real estate, what he is looking forward to doing this spring and more:

What were you doing before entering the world of residential real estate? And has it given you an advantage?

Before I entered the real estate business, I was with the Xerox Corporation. I knew wanted to get into real estate so Xerox was a great platform to begin building my background for a career in real estate. After my time at Xerox, I was a commercial/industrial broker working the South Bay, Los Angeles market for 12 years.
I made the switch to residential real estate as I have always wanted to work where I grew up. I was born, raised and still reside in the South Bay. I have a true passion and love for the area and know it well. It is exciting for me to help people find a home in the South Bay, so they can experience the lifestyle that I was so fortunate to grow up with.
My background with Xerox and commercial/industrial brokerage has given me a high level of professionalism, responsiveness, fundamental attention to detail and the necessary tools needed to help buyers and sellers realize all their real estate goals.

What are you looking forward to this spring?

I am looking forward to an increase in inventory. Inventory is still very tight in the Beach Cities, there are a lot of buyers chasing after deals. We have seen a slight increase in inventory, but it would be nice to see it increase even more. I am also looking forward to heading to the beach with my 6 month old daughter, Gracen. She is getting to the age where she will really start enjoying activities with her daddy!

What’s your number one moving tip for new home owners?

Planning. You should have a solid plan of attack and stick to it. It is easy to forget things when you are caught up in a move, there is a lot going on and having a solid plan and schedule will help reduce undue stress.

How do you hope to impact communities through joining Giveback Homes?

By being able to give back, I will be able to create social change through the buying or selling of a home. It will feel good to know that I am directly responsible for helping better a life for a family less fortunate. It is very exciting to be able to say that!

What’s been the proudest moment of your career so far?

It’s hard to single out one example. Each and every transaction is different and I take pride in every one. Knowing I have helped someone find their dream home makes me extremely proud and I can’t wait for the next opportunity.
