South Bay Realtor, Barbara McNeill, Builds Home for Maria Lopez + Family

May 11th, 2017

Maria has started a business selling used clothes out of her home, which is something that would not have possible in her old living conditions. She was also proud to show us that she used the scrap wood from her old house to build an extra room. She hopes to continue growing her business and her home so that it can be  passed down for generations.

Welcome home Maria! The roof, windows, and doors have been installed. All that's left to do is paint. Maria now owns her very first set of keys. Thank you to Barbara McNeill & her clients for making this possible.

Walls are going up on Maria's home!

A special Thank You to our member, Barbara McNeill, and her generous donation to build a home for Maria Victoria Lopez and her family in Nicaragua.

Maria Victoria Zeledon Lopez  is unable to work because she suffers from osteoporosis. Instead, she stays at home taking care of her 75-year old mother Justina. Maria Victoria’s daughter, Deili Amparao, also lives in the home with her husband, Lesteriban, and their 2 children.

Their sons David and Aryen are 8 and 2 years old. Lesteriban works at the tobacco factory and is the sole provider for the family. He earns just about $55 in income each month.  Their home is made of wood and cardboard, and is unsafe for the children.

A new home will mean a safe and bright future for Maria and her family. A special thank you to the clients that made it possible.

The Lanni Family, The Moreno Family, The Tsen Family, The Hussey Family, The Yang Family, The Amersi Family, The Anderson Family, The Deshpande Family, The Gailido Family, and The Thakker Family.
