KW Beach Cities Build Day in Inglewood

December 3rd, 2015

Agents and Team Leaders from the Keller Williams Beach Cities office teamed up with Giveback Homes for a Build Day in Inglewood, CA.  The project consisted of the construction of two brand new units of housing and one remodeled home on a 7,500 sq. ft lot.

The two new homes feature two-stories,  three bedrooms, two baths and 1,100 esf of living space. The remodeled home at the north east end of the lot will also feature two-stories, three bedrooms, two bathrooms with 1,177 esf of living space. When construction is completed, three deserviing families will have a safe place to call home.

The KW Beach Cities team framed and jack hammered their way through the day and wood studs and heavy beams were installed to complete the skeletal structure of the home. Tim Gurney and Brad Chambers with the help of the volunteer site managers installed support beams for the roof.

America Michael and Jennifer Fejeran Ferrel had never used a jack hammer before, but that didn't stop them from powering through the concrete foundation slab.

After six hours of hard work, a few ice paks and band aids, the KW team had successfully accomplished their first Build Day in Los Angeles. We are so thankful for their hard work and passion for giving back.
