Thanks to a generous donation from The Mazzo Group, Griselda Tolentino Alvarado and her family in El Salvador now have a safe place to call home. This is the 19th home made possible by The Mazzo Group.
Griselda is 21 years old and has lived with her two children in the Comunidades community for five years. Griselda only made it to first grade in her education and she earns about $75 - $100/month selling vegetables throughout the community. There are days when she worries if she doesn’t sell enough that she won’t have enough money to cover basic needs for her family. She enjoys doing household chores and taking care of her children. Her main dream is to help her children move forward in life so that one day they become educated, have professional careers, and live in a safe home. Her daughter, Josseline, is 7 years old and is in the first grade. She enjoys studying and playing with her friends. She hopes to stay in school for as long as possible. Her son, Cristian, is 3 years old and spends his time playing. Griselda and her family look forward to a fresh start in their new home.
